Which white noise option should I listen to tonight?

Having trouble sleeping so I'm going to pop some white noise on through Alexa. Usually I listen to rainforest sounds and have even been known to go for blizzard sounds but I fancy a change tonight. What's everyone's favourites?

Airplane white noise?

Sea/ocean waves, works for me, stops DH snoring, something to do with regulating his breathing pattern. 🤷‍♀️

I like bonfire or train sounds.

Ocean for me too, my happy place. Although sometimes I’m in the mood for a downpour of rain too.

Is brown noise an option? If so, that.

Brown noise. I used to listen to medium downpour on some app until I discovered brown noise. Sends me right off.

DH prefers pink noise so we have quite the cacophony while we sleep!

I went for brown noise, it was lovely and relaxing and I fell into a very nice sleep before the toddler woke up 20 minutes later and spent 2 hours thrashing about and wailing for no reason. I'm now wide awake and not even lovely sleepy sounds can help me!

I prefer music. Tony O'Connor incorporates nature sounds such as rain. Lofi Girl on YouTube has chill beats and a night mode for sleep.

I like rain on a metal roof, but then I would as my house has a steel roof.

I also like audiobooks that I've already heard, turned down low.

I always choose the "fan" option, sends me to sleep better than any of the others

I love a thunderstorm, very comforting. Otherwise brown noise is the best of the ‘colour’ sounds, it sounds deep and smooth.

Any boat sounds - creaking timbers of a galleon ship, creaking mast and water lapping etc.

I love rain and thunder, sometimes with ocean and fireplace sounds and maybe even a cat purring. I use the ambiences off youtube in the day sometimes too which give you the benefit of a lovely calming picture as well :)

I love rain with a bit of thunder and ocean wave sounds. Got a sequence on a USB that I play on a loop and I sleep like a log. The cats like it too.
