How much would you pay a dog walker?

How much would you personally find reasonable to pay a dog walker?

What could a dog walker do that'd make them stand out to you from the rest of the market?

I have an amazing dog walker! My dog is a large German shepherd who can he a handful, he needs firm but fair handling and someone to advocate for him eg asking other people to recall their dogs, not letting everyone stroke him etc.
We pay £17.50 for an hours walk, but the walk is the full hour. The time he spends getting the dog ready beforehand and sorting him after including drying him if he's wet, settling him down, playing with him and giving him his chews etc in on top of the hour. When he leaves we get a very detailed message about where they've been and how the dog has behaved. He has absolutely no problem advocating for my dog and following his training to the letter. He under charges in my opinion for the quality of service, I'd pay more if he'd take it

I pay £15 an hour for an amazing dog walker. She goes above and beyond duty. He always has a full hour walk plus extra time for collecting and taking home ( not charged for)
Once home she will make sure he has water etc.
I get regular photos of where they've been

I would imagine the price varies by area. I pay £12 per hour for my dog to be walked in a group of no more than 4. I am in NE Scotland.
Dogwalker picks her up at our house and walks at the local country park . She’s out for 90 minutes or so. Comes back tired and often wet or muddy. Dog walker cleans her up, will give her a snack if I am out, changes water bowl etc. Dog loves her .

I pay £10 and he’s away for two hours - he’s walked as part of a small group and that includes drop offs and pick ups. I think she’s undercharging and would happily pay more - she’s excellent.

We have 2 dogs & pay £8 for 30 mins, or £13 for an hours walk for them both. We're in north Midlands area.

They must be insured, obviously. A self insured person needs to be paid more than minimum wage to cover said insurance, holidays, sickness etc. You also have to allow for travel expenses. If they are a trainer too more, but I always think for self employed people it must be at least minimum wage plus 1/2, so from £15 per hour.

We pay £10 per hour (it's often longer). Walk with 3 others dogs.

Slightly different situation here as I pay my lovely dog Walker to take my boy for approx 2 hours 5x weekly as I have CP £55
He's worth every single penny to me.

I can't remember how much I paid but remember loving the photos. My old dog walker asked if I didn't mind if the girls went on an extra walk as sometimes it was easier for her next client than dropping them back, which my two loved! Both the dog walkers I've used offered overnight stays in their homes which was really useful.

£12 for an hour. What stood out for me was she is not scared of a boisterous daft lab.

I pay my dog walker £20 per hour for 2x dogs . They are walked often for longer and sometimes go on their own or with one or two others . He is brilliant and they love him .

Mine is £23 once a week. She comes and picks my boy up in the van and takes him to an enclosed field (their own premises) for a run around and then he has a meander on lead as well, then they come home in the van! They’re gone about 90 minutes and it’s a one-on-one walk. I get pictures and a video. For me, the stand out features are:

• they only offer solo walks
• they have their own enclosed field
• they have experience with reactive and tricky breeds (my dog isn’t reactive but he is quirky)
• they absolutely LOVE my dog

I'm a dog walker - group walks are £10 for an hour and solo walks are £15 for 45 minutes.

Many of the dog walkers round here have either bought or rented fields where they take the dogs for a play.

If I needed a dog walker, I would swerve that set up and prefer my dog to go out on the moors which one of them does.
