In for a penny in for a pound?

I've done an impulsive thing. All the best plans are made on impulse, right?

Friends (a couple) were going to a music event and persuaded me and a mutual male friend to go with them. This involves staying overnight for 2 nights. We've booked a hotel, but because of the event, availability in the area is limited and we'll be sharing one room with a double bed.

It will be fine, he's a good man, I'll be perfectly safe. He might not be though because he's also very attractive and frankly, I wouldn't say no! We're both single and middle aged BTW. I've had slightly mixed messages from him. I'm not sure if he's trying to respect our friendship or just not interested. At some point I'll have to have a proper chat with him.

Anyway, coincidentally on the morning of our first day, there's a sports event locally that's a mutal interest of ours. I was wondering whether to suggest we go the night before so we can go to that event too....

Regardless of any "romance" it's an event I think we'd both like to go to.

WWYD?
