What is this 'illness'?

Every few months I seem to get this. Specific symptoms:
Stomach ache
Headache
Fatigue
Generally feeling crappy but nothing 'specific' apart from the stomach ache and headache.

It lasts about 24 hours and I just want to sleep and sleep. Then it starts to wear off and the I'm fine.

Does anyone else get this weird malaise??

Visual disturbance or aura migraine? I have them and they don't cause horrendous headaches but leave me feeling like I could sleep for a week and feeling sick.

Hmm I don't think it can be migraine as the headache I get isn't bad and there's no visual disturbance beforehand.

There is such a thing as abdominal migraine apparently.

Yes. Mine also includes sore throat, mouth ulcers and toothache.

Yes but without a stomachache. I just feel awful and want to sleep and then 24-48hrs later I feel fine

Try keeping a diary and see if they're linked to your cycle. Mine are.

Placemarking as my daughter seems to have very similar symptoms. It’s been a couple of months and it’s been on and off.
following any suggestions.

from our side I was wondering if it’s antibiotics she’s been taking for a skin issue. Seems to tally up with the start of symptoms, I wonder if they lowered down her immune system strength/ messed up her gut flora.

Sounds like a migraine to me. Sometimes I get the aura, sometimes the headache, it's not always all the symptoms at once.

Most, but not all of mine, are hormonal.

Any suggestions for building up an adults immune system? From my teens until now (26) I hardly got sick. But ever since my youngest started nursery - just one day a week. I will catch everything, even stuff that doesn’t make him that poorly, makes me so bad!

Any tips? I genuinely live in fear of becoming sick now after a bug that knocked me off my feet for weeks.
