Anyone know what these insects are called?

And why are they in my kitchen 😱
For the last few weeks, I seem to find one either every day or every other day. Don't have pets (if that makes a difference).
What are they? And what do you they want?

Some kind of weevil

Looks like a vine weevil. They lay eggs in containers with plants in and their grubs will eat the roots.

Oh no, I have quite a lot of house plants- guess I need to start there

Are they hatching out of a house plant in the kitchen? Do you grow seedlings on in compost on a windowsill maybe?

This is 100% not a Vine Weevil. It's too small and the wrong shape. Looks more like something along the lines of a Rice Weevil. Can't really be sure from the photo, but likely to be associated with dry stored foods like flour, grains etc. than houseplants.

Have a look at the rentokil website to identify. It looks most like a grain weevil.
