Am I being rude?

I’m a teacher and have between 2 and 3 TAs in my SEN class. On Friday I had some feedback from one of them that one of the others doesn’t like being told what to do’ basically they don’t like it if I say ‘can you do x please.’ because the previous teacher (left at Easter) would always say ‘Would you like to do x?’

I have noticed she’s been a bit unwilling to do tasks I’ve asked her to so maybe she’s finding me rude?

The complaining TA will not be in my class next year but she will be next door and we will work together at times so I want to be able to work with her.

Not sure what to do. Should I change my approach? I don’t feel I’m being rude but maybe I am- I haven’t had this issue before. She’s quite young and hasn’t had much work experience so not sure if she just needs to realise that people ask in different ways and you have to suck it up as long as they are polite. If it was the beginning of the year then I’d chat things through with her but we’ve only got a few weeks to go so not sure it’s worth it?

End of the day, they are TAs and there to support you the teacher.
She needs to suck it up or find another job.
