Just back from a lovely 10 days in Majorca with DP and DS and hoping to book a week away mid September to Ibiza. DS will 2 on 2nd October, I vaguely remember someone mentioning there was a rule on them traveling when they are that close to 2, however can't seem to find any info online. We would get back on 23rd September when he would be around a week away from his 2nd birthday. Will he still be classed as an infant and free or would we need to pay for him? Hoping someone has some experience. Will likely travel with TUI.

If you return before they turn 2 then you will pay the infant/lap fare price.

If they turn 2 while you are away it depends on the airline (e.g. with TUI you will need to pay the child fare, but BA will just charge you the infant fare and give your child a seat for free on the return leg).
