CMS-mandatory reconsideration.

My cms has just gone up as ex's wages went up. He was paying the minimum amount (£30) He's now asked for a Mandatory reconsideration, I'm guessing on the grounds he's self employed and might not make as much this year? I'm not sure. What is the likelihood of them accepting that as a reason to lower cms?

Also, his income went up 300% last year and he didn't tell them, so could I call up and get it backdated? Will be ringing them after work tonight thanks.

Speak to them explain what is going on. I've found them to be helpful. Best bit was when they explain to my EX the debt of not paying doesn't go away on there 16th Bday 🤐
Explain any changes in costs to you also childcare increases/rent/mortgage ect. Good luck

Ffs, rang them and was on hold for 1 hour before they cut me off! What a waste of my time. Now going to have to spend another hour on the phone in the morning. Cms are a farce.

Try about 11am. It's not as bad, i will normallytake an early lunch if I have to call. If you can get on your account online you can always send them message. It will save you having to ring again.

You cannot send messages online anymore. Another hurdle! And I start at 12, so I'm going to have to ring as early as possible.
Thanks for replying
