Anyone been through something similar? I'm a little worried about my scar bursting open, I was huge in my last pregnancy !

I got pregnant again 5 months after my first section- all was fine!

I did this and there were no issues.

Ahh thank you, good to know. Reading online seems to say you should wait a year!

Waiting longer is certainly recommended but there are usually no problems. My sister had a short gap between her 2nd and 3rd sections, with that added bonus that her 2nd section had been complicated. My mother and I were pretty worried through her 3rd pregnancy as a result, but her elective section was much smoother and easier than her previous emergency ones.

Congratulations and best wishes!

I've had 4 sections. The age gap between dc3 and 4 is only 15 months. Dc3 weighed 10lb, dc4 weighed 11.6lbs. A year is recommended but things happen!

I'm feeling less worried now. Was thinking I was going to get a telling off 😆

I've read there is higher chance of preterm labour, is this true ?

After my first 2 sections I went on to have 4 very quick and uncomplicated vaginal births. The last 4 babies were all between 2 and 3 weeks LATE- couldn’t be induced because of the previous sections.

Awwwwooooga · 26/06/2023 08:37

I had 2 c sections, 13 months apart and was overdue with the last, so it didn’t encourage preterm labour

I was pregnant 9 months after my emergency c section. Was all fine but I did have a planned section for second and recovery was so much better as it was planned. Good luck! I love having two 18 mo the apart they play so well together and are best friends. No jealousy as they can't remember life without the other. They are now five and six years old.

Good to know. Hate google sometimes !

Yeah worrying a little about how hard it's going to be, and also feeling a little guilty on my 8 month old !!

Yes my cousin had her first two 12 months apart, both sections. Five years later she had a third by section too. No issues.
