Shirt collars, in or out..

Hey all,

DS14 is off to an event next week and the code is smart / casusal. DS will be wearing a white shirt, with some dark grey jeans, and a navy crew neck sweater. However, he's asked if he should have his collars tucked in or out?

Instinctively, I think out but DH disagrees? Who's correct here..
