Constant Diarrhoea after pre-school vaccines, anybody else had this?

Hi guys, my 3.5 year old had his MMR booster and 4 in 1 jabs three weeks ago. Within 24 hours of the jab his had diarrhoea. This has continued consistently every day since. Some days he need to urgently go once or twice a day and then on bad days like today he had to urgently go 7 times. It was every time he ate a snack or a meal. I was feeling relatively calm about it for first two weeks as GP said not to worry unless it was going on longer than two weeks, we are over three weeks now so I’m now low level freaking out that he’s has an awful reaction the the vaccines. He’s been himself in other ways, normal son, less hungry but himself. It’s just been this awful tummy that’s the worry and now in middle of this heatwave. The gp gave us a pot for a sample which we managed to get this eve and will hand over tomorrow morning. Has anyone else experienced this? I’ve tried to research but nothing really clear, trying not to also panic about the jab’s possible link with inflammatory bowel disease. Looking for reassurance please. 🙏

It's more likely just coincidence, or a minor disturbance to his gut health. Try Optibac (probiotics) for kids, you can put the powder in juice or yoghurt. It's always sorted my kids out. Please don't worry - you've done the right thing getting him vaccinated.

Thanks, yes I hope so. I stated him back on the optibac gummies yesterday so I’m hoping they’ll start kicking in. Is there anything else you’d recommend to help stabilise gut? Thanks

My son still is having bouts of diarrhoea two months post vaccine. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I heard the jabs can affect the immune system and sometimes cause food intolerances. Anyone else?
