Can anyone reccommendedation earplugs or earphones to help reduce external noise

Ideally I need to be able to hear people talking to me but reduce background noise (if possible).

It's to reduce hearing next door shouting/music in garden but so i can still hear my son.

It doesn't have to fully remove it but reduce it.

I'll also probably use outside as well as I've started getting really bad noise sensitivity- and the loud noises sets a claustrophobia off (this is new since my baby - not sure what it is or why?)

What's your budget? Sony XM5s are my dream ones at around £350, best reviews.

For work, I have Sennheiser EPOS360s, which are around £125.

My own personal ones are Soundcore Q30s, around £70.

They're all active noise cancelling, which can do ambient and transparent. The EPOS just have the edge on the Q30s. They're all over ear cans, and make my life bearable in this very noisy world.

@Mabelface honestly I have no budget as its to stop me having a mental breakdown 😂 the noise is making me very sick - and I have the rest of summer so need to get something

Are the noise cancelling only.working when music's on?

My daughter has loops and calms and prefers the latter. Both are relatively cheap but do what you are asking.

Nope, I don't always have music on when I'm out and about. Where I live, it's a popular route for bikers and there are convoys of them coming through. Dampens the roars really well.
