BT internet rip off

Shocked to open my BT internet bill today and find they have put my direct debit up to £110 a month! This is just for a phone line and internet use. I dont even use a landline phone any more so no call charges. No explanation as to why it has gone up.
Needless to say I will be on the phone to them on Monday. That is too much for a basic internet package when they are charging new customers between £35 -50 ish.
Sick of these rip off companies.
Anyway, aside from moaning about my bill increase, I wanted to ask - if you are with BT for basic internet and phone line package, what are you paying currently? Thanks

Something like what you have been asked to pay, because my DH (account is in his name) can’t be arsed to phone up and complain
The land line is included whether you use it or not as it’s needed for the internet, I believe.

That's a shocking price. I pay £20 per month for phone and broadband (basic ADSL) and have just taken it a full fibre Co tract for £35 pm (no phone tho).

You are absolutely being ripped off. Try Plusnet or Zen as alternative providers.
