I am based in the Uk
I would ask someone else but my parents have no idea what accountants do (they are academics who earn nothing) and my friends are lawyers/bankers/consultants etc. so they have no idea either

Until recently I was in a Big 4 at the top end of Senior Manager, on £100k plus bonus (about 14-20k depending on performance). This was in Consulting though not accounting/audit but I imagine it’s not that different. I have over 20 years experience, though not all in Big 4. Would have got there sooner if I had staying in house all the way.
Hope that helps

Depends on how aggressive you are and if you have time out for mat leave surely.

I know a guy who started straight out of uni on £38k, quickly went to £60 ish then every couple of years had another chunky rise. He was over £100k late 30s and had left to set up an NGO.
