Anybody know what an estate agent can see on a credit check?

We have been accepted as tenants for a lovely house near us which I am over the moon about. The estate agent has said we have to go through the referencing next week before we get the keys, does anybody know what the credit check would show?

No CCJs/IVAs, just have poor credit from a few missed payments years which I am on payments plans for etc and working to rebuild. Would they see everything?

It will only include information held on public registers, such as the electoral roll, the Individual Insolvency Register and Register of Judgments, Orders and Fines, and if there are credit accounts linked to the names/addresses provided. They won’t be able to see your payment history.

However, if you’re on a number of payment plans for debt this may affect the affordability assessment, if the agent or landlord thinks your outgoings are too high for the rent to be affordable.
