Very excited, look at my new patio addition!

Hi everyone, this just came this morning, and I am loving it. I can just imagine reading a good book and having a cup of coffee, but I should get a little side table or something to put next to it.

for context, I bought my first home in March, I am visually impaired and my home is actually in Greece, yes, that might sound exciting but it has had lots of challenges and it has been a difficult few months, so I’m trying to make my Home a really comfortable place that I enjoy being. I love anything that swings, and the shop where I found the egg chair also has like a swinging deck chair, so that might be my next addition. This is only one part of the balcony, the other part opens up to a large terrace, so if I put an awning, I can add more furniture.

Thank you, I love it. The one thing I’m wondering though is how would I clean the cushion, it doesn’t appear to have a zip or anything

One of the next steps I will take us to put in some AC, because it’s boiling… So I’m spending a lot of time on the balcony. I can see the colors from the view, but I can’t actually see what anything is… i’ve been told though that you can see mountains

I would just wash it like any other pillow - bung the whole thing in the washing machine (if you have a bulky setting), or soak it in the bath if it is easier. Maybe even dry cleaning?

Thomas Hardy, thank you. There are so many things I am still learning, I still haven’t made an adventure to the dry cleaners yet but that will be on my list of things to do. Very big learning curve, both the homeowner, and in Greece. I have spent quite a bit of time here before, but with me, it takes time to do things and to learn so one step at a time. I’ll get there.

I would recommend a hammock for your balcony, sounds like you have the space, and it's like floating. When it's chilly here I lie on mine with a blanket and wooly hat on.

Small yellow bird, I asked the shop if they have hammocks and they do. So yes, I would love to have one. They also had a deck chair that was like a Hamic, I didn’t understand because I didn’t have time to feel it but it moves as well. I also have a three seater porch swing that was put on the bigger part of the terrace, but it’s now inside my bedroom until I can put an awning up there. I’m thinking of planting a small garden as well, I know tomatoes and peppers are in season right now, I only have geraniums and I’m still trying to keep them alive… I think I’m managing… Somewhat.
