They've got a couple of hours to spare tomorrow while waiting for an appointment, any ideas? She likes crafting, scrapbooking, textiles type things if there are any good shops for that type of thing. Or any activities they can do together really. They'll be in the city centre.

Go to the city library. It’s an amazing building. Wonderful views and roof top gardens.

Terloz · 23/06/2023 19:35

@RandomMess great minds!😆

Terloz · 23/06/2023 19:35

Also, the museum is quite interesting too

GoodChat · 23/06/2023 19:38

There's mini golf in the Bullring if they don't fancy the library or museum

keiratwiceknightly · 23/06/2023 19:40

There's the rag market behind the Bull Ring. Lots of stalls with cheap clothes, saris etc but also some selling haberdashery, fat quarters etc.

Yes to the library. And then wander over through the ICC to the canal for food and people watching.

There's a great boardgame cafe in the Custard Factory in Digbeth called Chance & Counters.

Library is 11 to 5 on Saturday, so might be out if you're there too early or late. Museum is closed for renovations until 2024.

Forecast to be warm tomorrow so if you like that then could just hang out in one of the parks or squares. Eastside City Park or the cathedral grounds are nice green places. Get some food or take a picnic.

If you want shopping, pretty sure the markets have some stalls selling fabric and crafty stuff.

Great name!
If you wander to Digbeth direction, you will go past the Rag market (although it's not as good as it used to be) and could also check out the Fancy Silk Store in Moat Lane. There's also a vintage shop, Cow Vintage.

Thanks so much everyone, they're going to go and have a look at the rag market and the board game cafe.
