Anyone watching? I thought I’d make a thread we can drop in and out of to chat about what’s on.

Texas are playing right now. What an absolute bloody delight to see Sharleen Spiteri, looking exactly like herself at 55, giving it all. Her voice is still amazing. Rock on!

@Rollergirl11 Watched Biceps set last year, fantastic. Went to see them in Brighton in December, what a night 😎

LlynTegid · 23/06/2023 21:29

No one I know is going and none of my family are playing this year. First time for a long time. Will watch Arctic Monkeys.

soupmaker · 23/06/2023 21:30

@Arabels I bloody missed them when they played in Glasgow recently. Saw them back in 2013 when they won the Scottish Album of the Year - hadn't been on my radar before then. Loving this set.

Just realised the Nova Twins are already performing at Glasto (Sunday on The Other Stage) - harking back to the Elton’s special guests speculation. He has previously praised them. So they could put in an appearance.

Rollergirl11 · 23/06/2023 21:31

@AlphaAlpha i saw them at Ally Pally last year and they were awesome. DD is seeing them at Reading in August and can’t wait.

AlphaAlpha · 23/06/2023 21:33

@Rollergirl11 ah AllyPally is such a great venue! Wish we could've gone there but too much of a schlep for us. Last time we went there was the chemical Brothers, took nearly 3 hours to get home which when you're a little 'jaded' is not on.... 🤣

Rollergirl11 · 23/06/2023 21:38

I know, doesn’t help that there’s that teeny tiny little train station to get everyone away. The Chems are another fave of mine and have seen them too many times to mention. Last time was All Points East a few years ago.

Funnily enough Fred again… has just announced a tour for September and he has 4 nights at Ally Pally if anyone’s interested. 😀

AlphaAlpha · 23/06/2023 21:38

Meeeeeee!!!!

averythinline · 23/06/2023 21:38

really enjoying fred again.... although am very superficially wondering about his tshirt its stayed box fresh looking for whole set!
and dc just want to know who the other guy is and which teams top!

not sure i csn forgive all his ed sheeran work though
..

AlphaAlpha · 23/06/2023 21:39

Thanks for that, I'll have a look!

TragicMuse · 23/06/2023 21:39

Enjoying Sparks. And Cate Blanchett's gorgeous yellow suit

soupmaker · 23/06/2023 21:42

Doing Sparks from the start of their set. I bloody love them.

TragicMuse · 23/06/2023 21:44

Russell Mael is 75. His voice is still bloody good - range, quality, tone. Thinking back to some of the older artists they've had who's voices are absolutely shot, he knocks them out of the water.

I love Diana Ross but she barely hit a true note last year...

Go on then, since you've posted this on 3 different Glastonbury threads, I'll be the one to ask...who are your family members that would usually be playing?

Jellykat · 23/06/2023 21:45

I'm still on The Foos.. theres a guy in the audience the camera keeps cutting to, spooky he looks like Taylor!

Rollergirl11 · 23/06/2023 21:45

DH is doggedly waiting for The Hives to come up on Iplayer. They’ve already performed so hope they are going to show them. You’d think they would given that they’ve pretty much upstaged AM for the majority of their tour! 😂😬

the80sweregreat · 23/06/2023 21:45

Who is in the ' Sunday old tea time slot ' this year ?
Is it Rick Astley ?

AlphaAlpha · 23/06/2023 21:46

@Rollergirl11 arse - the FredAgain dates clash with another night for me, there's no way we can go into that there London twice in a couple of nights!
Off to Camden Palace (I refuse to call it Koko) for the Peach 30th Birthday, my trance trousers are waiting 🤣

I'm not sure the BBC are showing them, there were a lot of disappointed tweets about it. Not sure why though?

Jellykat · 23/06/2023 21:47

Absolutely Alpha!

Cat Stevens. I'm looking forward to him actually...

Zonder · 23/06/2023 21:50

Watching Sparks on red button now. I vaguely remember them from TOTP when I was little, and feeling really scared of the keyboard player with his scary eyes and moustache. That was This Town Ain't Big Enough.
They're utterly bonkers.

This is the one I really want to see.
