About deep sea animals and pressure

The thread about the sub and waterpressure made me wonder about the deep sea animal lige. There are animals living in the deep sea where there is so much pressure. Does that mean that if we'd have a deep sea fish egg and hatch it in higher waters that the animal would be larger? Or does the whole make up of a deep sea fish mean that we can't breed them/ keep them alive in less pressurized water?

The ones that are as deep as the titanic don't survive if they're brought up

Why would you want to? They are wild animals who thrive in the deeps.
Pretty sure they can breed all by themselves!!

I don't want to, I was just wondering about life and pressure.

Do you know why that is? Do they fall apart without the pressure?

I've been fascinated by this too with the recent news, how can such delicate sea creatures survive immense pressure but 5 inch steel couldn't. Yes I know evolution and science can explain it all, I'm just intrigued to know - will check out the links above.

I asked my DH about this only this morning! So sad to know what happens why they get fished up to the surface.
