Just that really. What song do you want to be remembered/known for?

Smells like Teen Spirit by Nirvana.

BlessedBeTheFruitCake · 23/06/2023 14:08

ELO Mr Bluesky

FeltCarrot · 23/06/2023 14:09

Leave right now - Will Young

TheYearOfSmallThings · 23/06/2023 14:09

Downtown by Macklemore, to cheer everyone up.

JorisBonson · 23/06/2023 14:09

Paul Williams - You Give a Little Love (from Bugsy Malone!)

purpleglitterglue · 23/06/2023 14:10

Wave goodbye by Chris Cornell... I actually love his voice!

Danikm151 · 23/06/2023 14:10

Hymn to her by the pretenders

Ooh, I love that one too. Might add it to my list of possibilities. 😃

twistyizzy · 23/06/2023 14:10

'As', the Mary J Blige + George Michael version

seashaken · 23/06/2023 14:14

Ding Dong The Witch is Dead

Tidsleytiddy · 23/06/2023 14:17

She: Elvis Costello
Baby Jane : Rod Stewart
Theme music from Inspector Morse

Wiglio · 23/06/2023 14:17

Hold on to memories-Disturbed

annonymousse · 23/06/2023 14:17

Dad chose his funeral music. As we left the building to go to the cemetery we had the finale of the 1812 overture complete with canons

My Mum died last month and her and Dad were always dancing, I had The Last Waltz played as the final piece of music. It was really upsetting but absolutely the right choice.

I would have Bat out of Hell for mine.

That would have made me howl. My parents also loved dancing and I can recall that song being played at the socials they took me to as a child .

Mercy1968 · 23/06/2023 14:19

Ruby Tuesday by The Rolling Stones. It's very apt for me as anyone who knows me knows.
Everyone should sing the chorus.

Water61 · 23/06/2023 14:23

Rainy night in Soho by "The pogues" beautiful lyrics

CoolCalmCollected · 23/06/2023 14:24

Blinded By The Light by Manfred Mann's Earth Band.

Topseyt123 · 23/06/2023 14:27

I'd also consider Massachusetts by the Bee Gees. Or The Sound of Silence by Simon and Garfunkel.

OrigamiOwls · 23/06/2023 14:28

Here comes the sun - The Beatles.

ThreeImaginaryBoys · 23/06/2023 14:32

Close To Me by The Cure
Or perhaps Pictures Of You.
I think my Mum would choose Cemetery Gates by The Smiths for me. She always says it's my song in her mind :)

ManyATrueWord · 23/06/2023 14:33

Con te partiro by Andrea Bocelli if I die before my husband. I love the music and I love that it doesn't totally make sense given the translation, it's about creating a moment in time. I'll give him the theme to the Detectorists by Johnny Flynn.

SageRosemary · 23/06/2023 14:34

The Book of Love - Peter Gabriel
Gentle as Silence

DH went to his first service at a crematorium recently and jokes between wanting Highway To Hell and Stairway To Heaven

mondaytosunday · 23/06/2023 14:40

Sentimental Walk. - Vladimir Cosma (from the movie Diva).
Or Gymnopedie No1, which was played as we signed the register at my wedding and at my husband's funeral.

FrankTurner · 23/06/2023 14:41

We had Handel's water music for my mum out the church, then Jools Holland & Ruby Turner "Peace in the Valley" out the Crem
I fancy "eulogy" by Frank Turner & DH wants "Get off my Cloud" by the Stones
