DS and car sickness

DS is 15 and has suffered with car sickness since he has a toddler. It is better but he'll still vomit at least a couple of times on most journeys. We've tried most over the counter remedies, putting him in the front of the car, open windows, middle seat at the back and he still vomits.

He's due to go on a school trip to Italy and it's hours on a coach and he'll just vomit all over the place (not literally hopefully) and he's dreading it.

Has anyone got anything prescribed or used anything that actually works? I thought he'd have grown out of it but no such luch.

TY

Definitely make 100% sure he isn't doing anything other than keeping head straight ahead. For me, on windy roads, I need to close my eyes. Never turn round or even to the side to talk to someone. Never read, even a short text, don't get anything out your bag - be holding a water bottle before you set off. Also, have a bag ready to catch the sick.

I third the scopoderm patch. Life changing. Or ondansetron dissolvable tablet. Both prescription only I think but so so worth it.
