Amex gold and free airport lounge access?

I’ve just applied for and been approved an Amex gold card. Partly got this because of the 4 free airport lounge accesses and the fact that it’s free for a year!

Hoping someone may be able to help.. how do I go about booking into airport lounge?

I’ll be flying from Luton with a friend soon - I am aware you can bring up to 3 guests. If I got us both in, I am assuming that would use 2 passes and leave me with another 2?

As I am also flying from Gatwick later in the summer so I could use it then?

Can you pre book or do you just show up?

Could you phone Amex and see if you can book on an app?

Hi I have Amex gold. You get a membership to priority pass. You will get emails and letters about accessing this and then you book via the app

@KokoKardash thank you. Do you know how long it takes for the membership to be sorted? I am flying from Luton in less than 2 weeks so would be good to get it all sorted before then!

Was really quick to be honest within a week I had an email from priority pass which included mu PP membership number and then I downloaded the app,

Fingers crossed you get it soon and I'm not sure If it also depends on the space /availabilities in the lounge at that time too, I've not used it yet as I already had lounges booked in advance but I have another trip in Sept I might see about using it then

You can just show up, you should get a letter with your priority pass in quite quickly but I think they can also just use your amex card?

I love an airport lounge, so much more relaxing than hanging round the airport!
