Dubai - gift?

What would be a good gift to give to someone moving to Dubai for a couple of years?

Any particular sweets/chocolates they like? Do the send bday/Xmas cards? A selection of them maybe as tend to be stupidly expensive/ stupidly Hallmark twee. Photos of important places/people and possibly the fairy lights you can attach them to.

Its a difficult one as you can get pretty much everything...even jars of marmite 😄

Whatever you give, give it to them early enough to plan packing.
We got a load of lovely stuff the day before we flew. Everything was packed to the nearest gram, or rehomed. I cried.

Pictures of friends or local places.
The birthday card selection is inspired!
Honestly, the thing I valued most was the friend that turned up at 6am when the taxi went at 6.30, and took the dregs of milk, the bottle of washing up liquid so totally emptied the house.
And the friends who found time to meet up when we had a flying visit home.

The greeting card thing is a clever one! She is a total chocoholic too.

A one way ticket back from a country where same sex relationships are illegal.
