How often do you see/go out with your friends if you have primary school aged children.

Just as the title suggests really. I usually try to see a friend once a week in the evening - but our weekends are still mainly dominated by kids' activities. How often do other people see their friends and or go out

If I'm lucky I meet a friend once a fortnight for a coffee during the day. Going out at night, maybe once every couple of months.

My work is flexible at this time of year, and DS is 11, so a fair bit. I saw a friend for drinks and a gig last Friday, theatre with DH on Sat (not sure if that counts) another gig Sunday night, saw a friend for coffee yesterday and three friends for breakfast after school drop-off today. There’s a big arts festival on here atm, so lots of music and art stuff on. DH travels a lot for work, and is peopled out when home, so I see other people while he stays at home with DS a lot. And some of my friends are friends, because they’re the parents of DS’s friends, so we combine stuff we like and children’s stuff. I quite often go hillwalking or to the climbing wall with one of the dads and all the children at weekends.

Once or twice a week. When I was a single parent, once a fortnight we had to pay a sitter, but with a partner it's very straightforward.

I don’t have many friends and work full time. But I go out with a group of friends about once every six weeks for drinks in the local pub. I’ve got a few friends I’ve met through work who I will meet for lunch when we can too. I don’t do anything regularly.

Same as @Grumpyfroghats about once every 3 or 4 weeks. Although also see fellow school parents as friends so can go to a bbq or someone’s house with kids and it’s like going out but with the kids in tow . I find soo g this with any friends who are parents is a lot easier than trying to do it child-free.

Every 6-8weeks and thats usually doong something with kids too! It's very hard to find times that suit each other.
Nights out/meals out...maybe twice a year!!

Since we've had children (5 yrs), about once every 2 years. I've pretty much lost contact with friends and our lives are entirely focused around the dc. I like to be home to put the dc to bed (we take turns doing one dc so I wouldn't want to leave DH to deal with it alone) and I don't want to use a sitter with them as I'd find it intrusive. And I just get more pleasure spending time with my dcs than with anyone else.

I try and meet a friend for coffee every other week and then have a lovely group of mums that meet up probably about every six weeks for a meal and some drinks somewhere local.

I'm fortunate to only work 3 days, catch up with a friend once a week in day time. Another friend who works full-time every 2-3 weeks in the evening and i have a group of friends who get together every 6mths.

Everyone has different commitments and catching up is never easy especially for the group

Hardly ever in the evening but I like to go for breakfast or have a mate round for coffee a couple of times a month while our kids are at school.

DH and I each out on average one night a week I reckon - though sometimes none and sometimes twice. DS is 7.

Late primary and probably once a month. Most of my good friends are an hour or more away and many of us have small DC…logistics can be a nightmare!

About once a month on average with different groups of friends each month. I'd like to be more sociable in an ideal world but don't have the energy due to working full time. I like spending lots of time with the kids in the evenings and at weekends too. They're growing up quickly.

Every 3-4 weeks, but it wasn’t vastly more often pre-kids tbh, have always been a bit of a homebody!
