Entertaining bored kids

My 10yo and 12yo are bored. I'm about to start working (evening shift, from home) so can't actually play with them. Any ideas for things I suggest they do? So far I have said:

Play in garden
Xbox
watch what you want on ipad
draw something
Homework
Have a bath/shower
Annoy each other
Play a game.
Phone a mate.
Just be bored.

All have been roundly rejected.

When we compained of being bored my mother would assign us housework to do. It put a fairly quick stop to the complaints.

Let them be bored. They will work something out. Just set whatever ground rules are important..no screaming, dont leave xyz area and dont bother me unless there is choking or bleeding… and leave them to it

'Work it out yourself and stop whining'.

'Go to bed'.

Wow op. Don't tolerate this!! Tough shit, it's not your job to entertain them, or suggest things.

Bobbles and clips, you can do each others hair/teach them how to plait etc. Not sure why msg sent early.

We send them out to do a chore (e.g. buy bread), find them chores to do around the house, then suggest homework.
