If I quit without notice

So for many months my colleagues have gossips and whispered about me.
I've had casual meetings and also aside from the gossip with each other they refuse to speak to me.

Which is crucial for our job roles.
Honestly it is hideous.
Ive been away and came back afresh and it started again.
So bad that a customer mentioned they can hear them most days. They pulled me to one side.
I've been offered absolutely lots of roles via recruiters.
I wouldn't feel obliged to work my notice with toxic colleagues and I'm sure the law is I have to be paid anytime owing.
I'm getting my ducks in a row.
What else do I need to do beside clear my stuff and return equipment.

Would you be able to get a reference?

whatisforteamum · 22/06/2023 18:36

I've got others from my 35 yrs unblemished career.

Ring Acas and ask them. Google the number. They offer free advice on this type of thing.
Good for you getting out. What a horrible situation.
Onwards and upwards ❤️

Honestly the easiest way is to hand your notice is and then get a fit note for your notice period? My company has full sick pay though

AuroraForever · 22/06/2023 19:00

Check your contract, start taking personal possessions home, line up a new job if you have to, give notice (or resign with immediate effect if needs be), leave company equipment, walk out the door.

So many people sit in shitty little jobs putting up with shitty little people when there’s absolutely no need to put yourself through all that crap!

Make a plan, get out and best of luck for your fabulous future!

Acas is a great idea.
Yes my initial vibe was this place is where dreams go to die.🤣
Everyone else is super polite just my colleagues.
I agree no need to work in these nasty environments.

What you describe is harassment. So mention that when you speak to ACAS, and I hope they can offer advice to make it as easy as possible to leave for another job as soon as possible.

So we had an investigation into bullying and harassment and await the outcome.

I hope the investigation helps, if not, you could use it as part of negotiation to leave in a way that suits you?

whatisforteamum · 09/07/2023 16:50

Yes I thought that as I do have plenty of options and a firm offer already.
I wouldn't want to do a full month with the whole team being odd.I don't want a bad reputation either.
