Designing your dream house, even if you won't be building it

Am I the only one planning a house they'd never build?
I dream of beautiful deep sinks, flagstone flooring (under floor heating ofc) , a reading room with a sea view and a window seat., a greenhouse accessable off the main kitchen, as I'd have a summer kitchen too.

In real life, when we may, possibly, get to build, it will be a very modest place indeed!

I've always drawn floor plans and stuff too, even as a kid...

You are not alone! I love fantasy building projects!

Mine tend to be on a more modest scale. I am currently fantasising about converting the loft into a bachelor pad for DS so that I can convert his room into a sewing room for me.

I spent my childhood doing this- drawing floor plans and pictures of it! Hours spent.

Mine is U shaped with the kitchen behind the central staircase.

The kitchen is warm and cosy checked table cloths and wooden cabinets

To floor U has a full length corridor which over looks amazing fields.

There is a court yard which is shaded and a pretty garden.

Yes we do this. All about the floorplans. My dream would be a massive 5,000sqft monstrosity that would be impossible to keep/clean/heat 😂

As a child I used to gather up all the dressing gown cords in the house and use them to make floorplans for my Barbies 😳

I have found my people! So much time making floor plans, some practical, some are more of the "if I won a load a of money " kind of house plans.
