Feeling low

Feeling quite depressed and tired, tired of life in general. I don't feel sociable, I just struggle with daily stuff. Yesterday and today I spent the whole day in bed except for doing the school run.

Anyone felt like this before? What do you do to make yourself feel better?

I'm sorry you're feeling like this, I know it's cliché but have you had physical causes ruled out? Some physical illnesses can present like this.

If it's not physical has something happened in your life? I feel like that when 'coming down' from a big or traumatic event after the initial shock/dealing I then kind of stall and can't seem to get going again. Bereavement, house move, relationship breakdown, arguments in the family etc.

But there doesn't always seem to be a 'reason' for it though, and I tend to follow my intuition, sometimes I will push myself to do something that needs done like housework and sometimes I just don't and hole up in bed with a book or Netflix. It's like a cumulative effect and you just need a couple of days 'off' from life in a way.

Be kind to yourself, get checked out at the dr's and do something that you want to do, for you.

Thank you. I haven't checked out in a long time but last time I had pains in my stomach and back I did go to see the GP who did a series of blood tests all came back normal.

A friend asked if I wanted to meet up for coffee, I said sorry I'm not feeling well, she says I haven't met anyone who gets unwell as often as you do.

Sorry. No bereavement or change in circumstances. Although DD will be taking 11+ this September and I feel a bit overwhelmed by it. School have started sex education and teacher has been teaching them more than they should which has been distressing me.
