Fixed term contract - significant scope change

4 months in to 12 month contract

Heard today that my role scope will reduce significantly due to restructuring (large chunk of team to live under a new manager)

performance record stellar to date here

what are my rights please and anyone been through something similar?

The fixed term bit is something of a red herring. Under 2 years employment unfortunately you have almost zero rights so I don’t believe there’s much you can do beyond start looking for a new job. Is your pay going to be reduced? Potentially you could look at breach of contract, if so, but not sure if that’s an option in employment context.

salary would stay same, just frustrated that role will be doing is not the one was brought into do
