What things should be banned at gigs or concerts!

I went to my first gig in years yesterday and thought I would start a lighthearted thread about crap that should be banned from gigs and concerts.

My first suggestion is mahoosive cowboy hats on anyone over 6ft tall!!

Encores - very few bands are deserving of them but they all seem to put on the charade.

Alcohol in the auditorium - I don’t want to be drenched in your beer as you push past, nor do I want to have to get out of your way when you want to go the loo as a result of said alcohol

I second The Arctic's on this....looked bored off their brains. Shite gig.

Phones. Do not get this habit to film every song, what are you ever going to do with that. People have really forgotten how to be in the moment.

I have to admit I have recorded gigs before and have only just realised that I have not ONCE ever looked at the video again but they are still all on my phone taking up space so now I will never do it again and I am going in now to delete every single one of them.

Signs/flags and all such crap. Nobody cares!

Excessive sweating. Once went to a concert where the lady next to me was extremely excited and leaping around. All good, but it was a very hot night and it meant that I was constantly being spattered with her sweat. For three hours! We were seated (although everyone was standing) , in a packed arena so I couldn’t move. I was literally soaked by the end 🤢🤢🤢 Obviously it’s not her fault, but Christ, it was horrid!!!!

The height I have no issue with! My husband is the same height as said man but when you lop a giant pink cowboy head on your bonce to make yourself 7ft tall and sway from side to side in a seated area then I have beef!

The evening start time, would love a matinee performance for a gig, I’d go to a lot more gigs for sure!

People pissing in cups and throwing them backwards in the crowd! Filthy animals

Another thing that cheeses me off is couples continuously kissing through a performance.
I had the narrowest window of vision between two heads and they kept bloody snogging! No need! Especially as it was warmer than Satans jockstrap in there!

People who refuse to budge if you try to get past them to go to the toilet in the standing area.

people who wee into glasses (men) & throw the glass over the crowd

The Sam Smith gig might have been all right if they'd banned Sam Smith from getting in.

Don't book a seat if you want to stand up!!!!

I would love for gigs to start even just an hour earlier, for public transport reasons! I’ve got two booked at the moment that are requiring hotel stays for after, as they’re not in my home town and there are zero ways to make connections for homeward travel.

I knew before I opened this that someone would say tall people (other posters have said it)

Every time …. I remember when Glamour (in their body positivity issue no less) added it tall people to a section about annoying things at concerts….
