UK top holiday destinations

I am a Brit, but living abroad and am thinking of a Uk holiday this year.

I have a week booked for London but it's very expensive so am wondering if I swap it for a UK beach or hiking, sightseeing destination.

What are the best UK holiday destinations in your opinion?
