Those that stayed with Radio 2 after Ken left ...

What's your verdict?

Forgot to say, one of my favourite shows on radio 2 is Kate Botley and Jason Mohammed on Sunday mornings. Good music and conversation.

I really love Vernon. He's really made Ten to the top his own and it makes me laugh. I think he's really good.

I wasn't keen when I heard that Vernon was taking over from Ken, but I've warmed to him. He has a relaxed manner and is easy to listen to. But have to admit I was never a fan of Ken and am very glad he's gone. More than overdue departure IMO. Sara and Zoe ..... both hover between bland and irritating! ... neither of them are particularly engaging, but I only listen for short periods - usually when I'm driving somewhere.

Scott Mills needs to go. He's the radio equivalent of beige wallpaper - totally ignorable. Irritating, tries too hard, no personality. Just no. Bring back Wrighty. (Sorry Scott!).

Zoe Ball and Scott Mills are very irritating and I just can't bring myself to listen to them.

I don't mind Sara Cox

I miss Graham Norton and Chris Evans

I used to have Radio 2 on all day every day from as soon as I got up to 7ish.

Not so much now. I can’t listen to either Zoe Ball or Sarah Cox without shouting “take a breath woman!” at the radio. I did like Ken but I found some of his jokes and comments a bit contrived and I’m enjoying Vernon more than I thought I would. Can’t do Jeremy too much as he’s so irritating. Scott Mills is behind boring. Much preferred Steve Wright and that’s saying something.

I don’t mind Claudia on Saturdays and then the old charts show after. Don’t like Liza Tarbuck. Have to be in the mood for Rylan.

I like Sundays a lot. Until 5 anyway.

When I hear Vernon and his cheesy charm, I wonder why Tess didn't LTB....

Graham is good on Virgin at the weekends

Ken is now in our local radio which is therefore no longer local so I've gone to radio two and feel like I'm 20 again listening to radio one. Just needs Chris moyles and the lineup would be identical

For Chris Moyles go over to radio X. It's pretty much exactly the same.

I love Vernon, he's sharp and witty but laid back and fun, an excellent replacement, I hate to admit it but I found Ken a bit boring towards the end.

I prefer Vernon, I think he's funny and sweet.

But have to admit I was never a fan of Ken and am very glad he's gone

As someone who was very happy with Greatest Hits until he arrived, I wish he'd stayed at Radio 2.
I'm now trying to find a different station, but struggling to find anywhere where I like the music as much as Greatest Hits, but without having to listen to Ken talk to 'Brian from the Isle of Wight' every morning, then sit through a quiz and so on.

I'm still on the fence about vernon.
I'm enjoying the quiz and the vault but I just wish he would talk less about being from up north and back in the day !

I think Vernon is great. Relaxed and likeable.

I’m enjoying Vernon, especially the vault section. I like 10 to the top but the unfairness of the scoring irritates me.
I also very much like Scott Mills to my surprise, I thought he would be too young for me. I like the music police section. His show feels v short though at 2 hrs & Sara’s too long. I used to turn off when Steve W came on so a huge improvement.

@UsingChangeofName was greatest hits always just of 80s. I just ask as it was sold to us rural hill folk as all greatest hits.

Been a huge loss here for local news but wasn't what they said it would be either.

I like the changes to R2 and have enjoyed dipping into Vernon Kay’s show. I don’t understand the love for Ken Bruce. I mean, he was OK to listen to but I found him a bit “old” for me, like it was radio for my dad. Oh and I am very middle aged so not exactly a hip young thing!

@dinoice - no, it is 70s, 80s, and 90s, and, until they signed Simon Mayo, it was all about the music, not the DJs, which was great.
Now, far too much talking for my liking.
Fab show on Friday evenings though - Martin Kemp plays some great music then.
