So today my armpit was itchy upon feeling there was a small raised bump in my armpit
Really small probably less than pea sized -doesn't feel hard just feels raised
A few days ago it wasn't there but my armpit was stinging like a stingy sensation randomly
I rarely shave but have been as the weathers getting nicer.
It's just a bit sore and itchy
Would you be worried ?
Felt boobs and round armpits and nothing else just this itchy raised lump /bump

I'm not medically trained but I'm sure someone will soon be on who is . I definitely think you should have it checked.

Pokske · 20/06/2023 14:14

It could be an ingrown hair, a mosquito bite, ...
If it does not go away with itch calming solutions and lasts a few more days, I'd have it checked. Ingrown hair can get very unpleasant.

I get these with ingrown hairs.

Desdemona44 · 20/06/2023 14:16

Definately make a GP appointment, could be nothing, I had an enormous spot in the same place once really deep under the skin that presented the same way you describe, but only a doctor can say for sure.

louukaway · 20/06/2023 14:17

It's deffo only came in the last few days as I check all the time

Looks like an ingrowing hair. I wouldn’t be worried but if you are then ring the gp

TokyoSushi · 20/06/2023 14:20

I would give it until the weekend and if no better make an appointment. I had one of these a few weeks ago and it went within about 48 hours, also itchy so must have been an ingrown hair/bite/some sort of irritation. If it doesn't clear completely (mine did) then be sure to get checked out.

louukaway · 20/06/2023 14:22

It's hard to explain but doesn't feel like it's deep in my skin just around one of the follicles that's got a raised bump
If it hadn't been for the itchy I wouldn't of even realised

Get it checked and then you can be sure. Nobody here can tell you.

paininhell · 20/06/2023 14:25

I get this it's always a few days after I've shaved. Doesn't happen all the time but when I does, it's tender, can be itchy. I think it's a lymph node or a ingrown toe nail

squishee · 20/06/2023 14:31

I have a seborrhoeic cyst like that. Harmless, but it gets scanned along with my boobs every 2 years just in case.

Ingrown toe nail? 😮
