I know that this probably sounds totally daft to some, but I am totally panicking and overwhelmed by anxiety. All advice gratefully received to help me through the next couple of days.
I run my own company and have an insanely busy week of work events that I have spent a year planning for and a lot of people depending on me. I have DC 4 & 7. My DH just spent the night with severe D&V and is currently shut in our bedroom (only room with ensuite). My head is a mess. I haven't slept. I can't eat. I don't know what to do at this stage. Having a bit of a melt down.
No family help until Thurs.

Do you have somewhere else you can sleep?

WoolyAndYug · 20/06/2023 21:26

Can you sleep elsewhere and use a separate bathroom?

The first thing I would do is try to take control of what I could by bleaching all the surfaces and make sure that DH stayed completely contained away from you and the children.

"Hopefully" it's something he's eaten and it's not contagious. I have sympathy because I also have a meltdown when that bus in the house I just can't cope with it.

Just stay away from him as much as you can and clean everything.

You have my sympathies I'd be in a tizz in your situation too. All you can do is minimise contact and ramp up the cleaning. Bleach is your friend. Wear a mask & gloves if you have to go near him, but try to keep him as quarantined as you can. Sleep in a different room!

Can you dh stay with his parents this week or does he need to be around to help with childcare?
