Ordered a swim suit from Amazon and its too small 🙄, went online to request a return and they have said they will refund it , but no need to return item ? Has anyone else had this ?

Yes, common for low cost items.

Yes a few times. They'll do it if a) it's not really viable to return (value outweighs cost to them + return cost vs price you paid) or b) it's an intimate item like swimwear or pierced earrings etc.

Only on Amazon sold items not Amazon marketplace.

Yeah, it costs them more to pay for and process the return than it's worth for them to have it back.

Yes for cheap items it often coisrs more than it's worth to return it

Very common. I've had it for maybe five items with to most expensive being books that are gifts around the £20 mark that arrived scuffed and damaged or with food in the pages. They either refund and let me keep or offer a new one and let me keep. I usually take the refund and buy elsewhere in case the second they send is damaged too and it looks like I'm taking the piss contacting then again 😬

It's probably not cost effective for them to have it returned and then sold under the warehouse section of the website.
