Superhog

I've booked accommodation in England using Booking dot com, and one of the venues is asking me to verify my identity using Superhog. That's not a thing where I live and I'm not too happy about uploading my passport or driver's licence. Can anyone tell me if Superhog is legit and safe to use?

Gosh I’ve never heard of it and I book hotels all the time for work

And now I've received a phishing warning from Booking dot com and the accommodation telling me to only trust Superhog for ID verification. How do I know that's not a phishing attempt 🤷‍♀️
