Tourist in Paris - hotel in 11th district?

Taking 10 year old DS to Parks for a long weekend in August, have found a highly rated (tripadvisor) hotel in our budget. It's in the 11th district, reasonably close to metro - will this work for us do you think? Else which districts should I concentrate on?

11th is fine. Ordinary residential district, generally, but buzzy and very central. The métro line 9 is useful, as is the 69 bus.
