Can someone answer my rather dull Nintendo Switch question?

At the moment, DD has a Switch account linked to her email and I have a separate Switch account, but I play the games I buy through that account on her Switch. If I get my
own Switch and log in to my account on that, will the games I’ve bought transfer over to the new one?

Thank you!

Yes! So I buy games on my switch, and I have an account on my sons.

(Sorry pressed send too soon!) & I sign in on my account to download the game. However he has to log in as me to play. He's fine with this.

In my experience, yes and no.

we have 3 switches. Original switch I set up as the main switch, with an account for me, and one for each of the dc. I buy the games, everyone can play on their own account on original switch. All good.

I then got a switch lite. Just for me. So my account is on there, and I can download all the games I have previously bought, BUT since my lite is not the primary switch, I can only play downloaded games of no one else is playing a downloaded game on the main switch.

<we now have a switch OLED to replace the original switch, which is now the primary switch, with original switch being another secondary switch, but this is by the by>

it is possible to change which switch is designated primary/secondary, but given that I can play around the dc anyway - after bedtime, when they’re doing homework Grin etc, I don’t mess around with this too much.

Thanks for the replies! Ok, looks like I could get another Switch and still play those games, then!
