Trying to get tickets for a gig - is it really this hard?

Tried to buy 3 tickets to see Melanie Martinez in Wolverhampton in November, I'd not managed to get any in the 02 and Live Nation presale which I thought was strange. Logged on to ticketmaster today, was in the waiting room, at 2pm was no 2 in the queue so pretty much straight in - absolutely nothing apart from £200 VIP seats. Couldn't even get 1 seated or standing. Tried another device and got straight in, so no queuing - and absolutely nothing.

Yet they were on viagogo at 12.20 for over £100.

How on earth does ticketmaster let this happen? It's absolutely ridiculous that touts/bot/agencies what ever you call them can get hold of tickets.

Gah, am so annoyed that something so simple becomes such a headache.

Why does this happen, and has this happened to anyone else, or is it just me?.........Did anyone get Melanie Martinez tickets? I could have got some for Wembley but the logisitics on a week night are too complicated.

We also tried and failed! What’s the deal with viagogo? There’s still tickets on there? I thought it was a scam as they were selling earlier than release time!

Same here. There's an extra date she added for Manchester as well, still nothing except £200 tickets in the pre-sale. Absolute joke. My dd is desperate to see Taylor Swift when she comes, dreading the scrum for those. Always Ticketmaster that's the problem. When they also sell via See tickets I never have any problems.
