Can anyone recommend a widely accepted photo ID other than passport or driving licence

Please?

DD is about to turn 18 - doesn’t really want to have to take her passport out with her in case she loses it and she’s not allowed a driving licence.

I’ve looked into the Citizen Card, but some of her friends have them and find pubs and clubs won’t accept them.

Is there anything else?

She looks very young, she’s at a festival this weekend where under 16s have to be accompanied by someone over 18 and her friends have to come out to get her in. Really doesn’t want to take her passport up there in case it gets stolen/she loses it.

She’s got college ID and a disability bus pass, both with her photo and her date of birth on - sometimes they’re accepted, sometimes not so I was going to see if there was any thing a bit more official

Thanks!

Citizen Card or Pass Card are official. If pubs and clubs won’t accept then it sounds like she’ll have to take her passport. Annoying though!

Another vote for Citizen card

Pass card is only other one my old workplace would accept (retail)

I hadn’t heard of the Pass card - I’ll have a look at that one.

It is quite annoying - DD1 uses her provisional driving licence as it fits easily into the back of her phone case and a whole lot cheaper to replace than a passport if she lost it.

Thank you!
