New job but no response??

The day before half term I was offered a new job in a local college. I received an email with the offer, and responded within 5 minutes to accept. I then had no response, but assumed office was closed as office hours were shut by that time.

Over half term I had no response, assuming it was because the college was closed. I was away for some of last week, but chased up a response on Monday. I emailed the lady who had contacted me, asking if everything was ok. No response. I called but was told by reception that she wasn't answering the line, so left a message and my contact number. I have emailed again but had no response.

Is it just me who finds this highly unprofessional, and extremely rude? It has made me feel really unsettled, as I have no idea why they've now chosen to ignore me.

You need to call again and speak to the people who interviewed you with a follow up email if you can’t get hold of them. So say you want to check all was ok with the paperwork as you’ve yet to receive acknowledgment of their receipt, you’re looking forward to joining them and for them to let you know if anything else is required .

@NatureNurture85 the lady who interviewed me is the lady I have been trying to contact. I emailed asking if all was ok and if she has received my previous correspondence. No response. Never know anything like it. I called this morning but there was no answer.

Anyone else involved in the process? Have you handed in your notice yet? I wouldn’t until you’ve received acknowledgment!

@NatureNurture85 no no one else. I haven't but need to, hence why I could really do with a response.

Could you go in to the college?

Their opening hours are the same as my current job. Really don't feel a response should need to be chased like this though.
