I found something I couldn't get elsewhere on Ocado and discovered there was a 3 month free delivery offer so used it for the weekly shop.
I was getting decent quality stuff, firm tomatoes and cucumbers, avocados that weren't bruised and squashy and free gifts so signed up for a year of deliveries. Not so bothered about the gifts but it was nice.
Lo and behold it all went wrong and every week I get something substandard, tiny lettuces, half the size, watery cucumbers, soft, manky tomatoes, and today a leaking bottle of milk, in the bag with the most items in so have needed to wash it all. Bottles often arrive battered, didn't before. This was in addition to 3 out of 9 tomatoes being inedible, and 1 out of 4 avocados being squishy.
Only free gifts I was offered have been a magazine which I don't want.
I feel as if because I chose deliveries for midweek tariff which is cheaper and am hooked into paying for a year, they think 'Ahhh, trapped, we won't bother now'. Plus the number of refunds I am requesting for dodgy stuff makes me look like a problem customer but I am getting stuff I wouldn't buy in a shop.
I only had the midweek deliveries for the 3 month trial, by choice as it suited best. Wonder if they know I hate M&S food, which seems to be worse quality than Ocado branded.
