after a favour …. My DS is doing a school project and needs to use CFD to do an aero analysis of their race car (designed in CAD). He’s getting an error message referring to the licence (“the (motion) solver licence could not be checked out from the licence server”) , using both the education version and the free trial version. Does anyone know what he’s doing wrong ? He’s asked his teachers but they haven’t helped yet … and deadline is Friday.

Also if his licence is from his school he might find that he needs to be on a school machine. HOWEVER I think that's really unlikely in 2023.

Also I would make sure he only has one vesrion (probably the student one) on his machine, when you have two versions of these packages then tend to start to "fight" each other. Often it's because they try to use the same locations on the hard drive to store app data so it can be in a bit of a muddle.

Thank you, we’ll give that a go. He did uninstall education and then install free trial , to try to stop any confusion with that. It’s just frustrating that I can’t help ! We’ll try to run through the steps in that article. Thank you !
