Food at Alton Towers

Last time we took our own picnic so didn't pay attention to food outlets. Is there anywhere in particular on site that people would recommend? I know it's going to be overpriced and meh fast food but just looking for somewhere suitable for the kids, vegetarian 4yo and 1.5yo, eldest very fussy. Ideally somewhere in/close to Cbeebiesland?

It’s all awful since Aramark took over. We had some passable cheesy chips this weekend but that’s about as far as I’d go food wise.

Pizza pasta place is your best bet

I saw a duck eat KFC at Alton towers once. Not sure what that says about the food options.

All the food is terrible I found, apart from the donuts which were quite good. Definitely consider a picnic.

The food stalls where Mauraders mayhem is is alright, rollercoaster restaurant is fun and the pizza pasta buffet place also good. Loads of nice places to eat near Alton towers if you’re going for tea after the park.

Just been recently and the food was awful.

I'm not a food snob and will happily eat McDonald's but the food in the park was just awful and such poor quality.

The woodcutters restaurant was probably the best of a bad bunch in that it was clean and we were served. The food was well cooked and well presented so it's not the staff's fault but the underlying quality was terrible. I didn't eat it.

We also went for a pizza at the bridge House pub which was lovely.

I have to say my whole experience of Alton Towers was just a tatty run down dump.

Little Explorers lunch box in CBeebies land, or the coffee shop next to the CBeebies entrance are your best options with little ones, otherwise you’re facing a fairly long walk to other cafes.

We found it easiest to stop off for a big breakfast on the way, bag full of picnic snacks for during the day, then stop for tea on the way home.

We went in May, and spent a couple of nights at Alton Towers Hotel. We ate at the Secret Garden restaurant in the hotel lobby. It was expensive but very good.

It's awful. I was there 2 weeks ago. And the rollercoaster restaurant is worse.
Take your own food. Alton towers food is shite.
