Where to buy soft shorts/T-shirt pyjama sets?

I'm after soft T-shirts that don't rub my nipples raw <side eye Primark>

And shorts that are a bit baggy so the gusset doesn't actually clamber all up inside me every time I sit down.

And shorts where the leg sits mid-thigh or lower. I'm not a Californian teenager at a sleepover in the 90s after an outfit for a pillow fight. I need coverage.

I'd prefer to avoid M&S if possible.

Where do you all get your nice soft grown-up summer PJ sets from?

Ah - I was going to say Primark or M&S depending on budget....

Supermarkets often have that sort of thing

Chrysanthemum5 · 13/06/2023 09:57

I like Chelsea Peers their pjs are very soft and wash well. Big enough to cover more than just my bum and don't sneak up constantly. They usually have good sales which is where I get mine

Asda! I was eyeing up one of the oodie sleep t shirts as I’m a warm sleeper and wanted something super soft and great for summer but they’re £40! Asda currently have some really soft but cool mix and match sets… t shirts, nighties, shorts and bottoms and it’s 2 for £14. I can confirm they are the comfiest things ever and so far washed great.

I mean, I would go back to Primark for them. It was only one set that were a bit scratchy.

Supermarkets are an excellent shout, not sure why I didn't think of that.

Oooh, I've not heard of Chelsea Peers. Off to Google.

I'm wearing some next ones which are really comfy

AlltheFs · 13/06/2023 10:02

Tu and George for cheaper ones, Next for pricier.

ShatOnAndrew · 13/06/2023 10:02

All amazing suggestions, thank you!

I haven't yet seen anywhere which does sleeping shorts that aren't trying to clamber into your nether regions. Why do they make all sleeping shorts like hot pants? I don't want to show off downstairs if I'm in PJ's with guests over. Supermarkets are terrible for this.

Amybelle88 · 13/06/2023 10:05

DKNY from Costco or even vinted! Honestly, the best pyjamas ever!

I start feeling all yeast-y even looking at them. Just why!?!

When I was a teenager, I liked the hot pant style for when I'd sleep at my boyfriends and wanted to look a bit sexy. Not now, I need coverage. I don't even care that my legs look like footballers - I want long shorts!

If you look at Next online they have lots. I’m 5’8” and get the longer lengths to avoid gusset issues. I hate buttons, lace and embellishments. They do their own brand and plenty of others, soft fabrics.

ShatOnAndrew · 13/06/2023 10:09

@Amybelle88 Oh, interesting!

If you are in Germany or Denmark Schiesser do very comfortable loungewear, pyjamas. More pricey but worth it.
(I mispronounce their name as something rude in German).

I am in lreland. Dunes Stores always have nice ones. They are online and l presume deliver to UK. Great value too.

Springbuds38 · 13/06/2023 11:08

Sainsburys or Asda but I’d try the men’s set, shorts are longer and usually a softer material I’ve found.

Mabelface · 13/06/2023 11:51

Men's short pyjamas work for me.

ShatOnAndrew · 13/06/2023 12:15

Oooh, great points about men's PJs. DP's T-shirts are a lot softer than mine so I do tend to nick them for PJs once he's stained or stretched them. LOL.
