What percentage more is 2300 from 1300.

it’s seems so simple but I can’t work it out.

DP and I are looking to change the way our finances work and pay bills based on percentages.

It is (2300- 1300) / 2300 43% more.

I think you actually want to know what % each is of the total?

2300 is 2300/(2300 +1300) = 64% of the total, so 1300 is 36%

90 something %. 100% more of 1300 would be 2600

Sorry - to try to explain better, if one earns £2,300 and the other £1,300, in total you earn £3,600.

One earns £2,300 or 64% of the total amount, so pays 64% of the costs

The other earns £1,300 or 36% of the total amount, so pays 36% of the costs

Sorry didn't read the question properly. Think I would have learned over the last 50 yrs

This is the trouble - you need to know the comparator. My first calculation was seeing what it was compared to £2,300 and pedallleur has compared to the £1,300

2300 is 1000 more than 1300.
1000/1300 = 0.7692
As a percentage, multiply by 100.
So 2300 is 76.92% more than 1300.
