How do boys carry phones?

How do your young teen boy carry his phone? It's fine during winter, big jacket with big pockets. But we are in summer shorts n hoodies weather, and no suitable pockets.

DH tends to wear jeans and uses his hip pocket so no issues.

I can't figure out what my boy is meant to do with his?

Back pocket or bumbag (they are in fashion worn diagonally across the chest)

all their shorts/trousers have practical sized pockets in them.

My son has a small cross body bag he takes everywhere with phone and wallet

My ds uses a hip bag that he crosses over his shoulder it's only small. Or he'll just wear shorts with pockets in but is very clumsy and has dropped it many times so I do try to encourage him to take the bag.

In his pockets of whatever he’s wearing.

If pockets aren’t big enough regardless of the wearers sex I don’t buy them.

My.son uses a rucksack but he's also diabetic so needs to take his insulin and glucometer everywhere .

Yep! My 12yo DS just bought one of those cross-body bags. He was very offended when DH and I reacted by calling it a bumbag 😁... everything comes back into fashion in the end! Tbf they are very useful - his fits his phone, wallet and keys.

We try really hard to by trousers and shorts with suitable pockets although it is tricky as his phone is enormous!

Rucksack but I usually try to make sure any shorts or tracksuit bottoms I buy him have zippable pockets

I only buy them shorts or trousers with zipped pockets

Pockets but he won't wear shorts so he always has decent pockets OR if in with him he shoves it in my bag

I try to only buy bottoms with zipped pockets but they are hard to come by!
I sewed a zip in on one pair of joggers, it was a faff but probably worth it if it stops his phone falling out. He won’t wear a bag 🤨

I'll have a look in the sports shops. None of his clothes have decent pockets. TBH it wasn't something I really thought about.

And yes some phones are huge, he currently has a semi sensible hand me down phone but I can see me having to replace it and no budget phones are a sensible size.

DS has a small cross body bag - his mates have similar or bum bag worn cross body. They are really handy (even if it does make them look like drug dealers).
