I've got an Amazon return for a huge portable ac unit. (Damn thing broke on me) - however want me to arrange the return myself.

its a big heavy unit and I don't have the box. Does anyone know/recommend a courier that would collect and box it up?

Are Amazon offering the return free & wouldn’t you have to pay for a courier?

Can you not just ask in Tesco or home bargains for a big box or two. The units broken so p, even if you had to tape cardboard together it’s not going to make much difference, it’s just something to stick the sticker on. You could even bubble wrap it and then wrap it in black bin bags to return.

I'll have to pay the return but Amazon will then refund that postage cost too.

Good shout with the bubble wrap and bin liner idea.

I had a kitchen top halogen oven that broke after 3 months, they told me to put it in a bin bag and send it back. The thing had a big glass bowl, so I wrapped it in double layer bubble wrap as well as a bin bag and took it to the post office. By the time I got home they had refunded the money.

So as a PP said as it is broken i'm not sure they are bothered about how it gets there

Thanks everyone!

For your advice, will go with he bubble wrap and bin liner then get a courier to pick it up :)
