Hi all I’m in a bit of a dilemma bit long to explain but need some help as stressing. I won a bid for a wardrobe on eBay on the 7th, I arranged a courier to collect it on the 8th as it’s large and won’t fit in my car (cost £80 for courier) the collection time period was 10am-2pm the seller is moving house on the 12th so needs collecting by then. I got a call on the day of collection at 2 from the couriers to say the seller wasn’t at home so they’ve been unable to collect the item, so my £80 went out the window, I contacted the seller and she said she had an appointment at 2:20 so had to leave hers therefore wasn’t in when the delivery men came, if she had mentioned this prior then I would’ve arranged a different day for collection etc so rather annoying and a big loss of money. Anyway the couriers told me if I rearrange another day for collection I get 50% off so I managed to talk to the seller and arrange another collection on the 11th (today) same time 10-2. I got a call this morning from couriers to say my assigned driver is ill and not at work today so can’t collect the item and all the other drivers are too busy to collect (just my luck) and as the lady’s moving house tomorrow I can’t arrange another collection day so I’ve had to request a refund from her as there’s no way for me to collect the wardrobe before she moves and it’s been out of my hands as first time she wasn’t in and second time driver was ill. The seller dosent want to refund me what so ever and has now marked the item as collected and is saying she’ll just leave it outside for collection so I’m not sure what to do, I’ve contacted eBay but got to wait till the 16th for them to step in, the lady dosent have my collection code so can’t fully confirm I’ve collected it and my money won’t be released to her also her leaving it outside hers means anyone can come along and collect it. I was genuinely interested in the item but I’ve been very unlucky with the collection and as I said it’s been out of my hands. Will I get refunded as I’ve not been able to arrange a collection and don’t have the item was considering contacting my bank about it as well, sellers being very blunt with me.
