Please show me your eternity ring?

Hello All
We have a significant anniversary this year & dh has suggested an eternity ring.

I will wear it separately on my right hand due to the design of engagement & wedding rings.

I love the full bands diamonds but given I'll wear it alone on that hand I'd say getting one with enough oomph would be beyond budget

I'm open to more unusual options too. I would like yellow gold & diamonds but also open to gemstones such as emerald or Ruby

Please show me your rings for inspiration (plus I love jewelry!!)

I love mine, it was a pre-owned ring so I think DH got better value for money, it's yellow gold and diamond. It was the last thing he bought for me.

Could you have one made to tie in with your wedding and engagement rings?

I won't take a photo. Mine is yellow gold (to match my wedding and engagement ring) it's a band with 10 diamonds. We chose it together for our 10 year wedding anniversary. We went to goldsmiths to get it. The shop assistant was very helpful. I showed her what I had and what I was looking for and she matched me with this ring.

@Pollywoddles I am absolutely considering getting something made but I'm interested in seeing what other people might have as inspiration.

I think I'm also open to a non traditional style too since I'll be wearing it on my right hand.

So weirdly, I'm not a big fan of eternity rings but as i inherited one in the style of, from my now deceased mother in law, i do have one i happen to wear!

It is white gold with 2 rows of diamonds...maybe 40 stones in total? These stones are from various rings including her original engagement ring, husband's grandmother rings and various other sources.

She also (to be funky? 🤣) had a yellow gold band soldered to the bottom of it!?

It is now just a wacky ring which i wear🤣.

My eternity ring (if you want to call it that) after i gave birth to my daughter on the other hand is an art deco ring with a sapphire centre🤣.

You do you, it doesn't have to be a diamond band if you don't want it to be

Mine is really simple and delicate on a slender band as I have small fingers - it's a half eternity band as we couldn't really see the point of having diamonds all the way round when you can't see them - and I love it!

I found that a full eternity band was too chunky and stuck into my hand when pushing a shopping trolley or whatever, but a half eternity band was more practical.

My wedding band has diamonds evenly spaced around it, so some are always facing the palm of my hand & I'm fine with that. I've always loved 'secret' elements of jewellery - dh has a diamond inside his wedding band etc

Did anyone opt for a totally different type if ring rather than the traditional band of stones?

Mine is a row of 5 diamonds set in claws.

I had mine made and I love it (though not photographing my fat fingers! I also wear it on my right hand.

I have a preloved cluster (flower shape) diamonds. It’s made from many small stones and that along the fact it’s second hand made it much cheaper than a large stone. It’s beautiful and I also wear it on my right hand.

@Fleur405 that's beautiful - are they rubies or garnets?

I think I'd like one more like this rather than the more traditional straight band of stones but I'm still not fully decided

I have a half band eternity ring that I had made. It has 3 blue sapphires and 1 pink sapphire, all separated by diamonds. The sapphires sit, blue, pink, blue, blue, which are the order I had my dc in. Everyone who spots the slight oddness all really like the idea behind it.

I've also thought about getting a ring with our birthstones in it too at some stage

If anyone sees a dot ring anywhere please link! I saw one in a jewellers on holiday and haven't seen one since.

It's irregular circles settings of gems, joined into a ring. So a bit like the petal one above but based on circles.

I started with a full band but exchanged it for a half band. Full band was uncomfortable and difficult to size. My ring size has changed a few times over the years, same as many people I'd imagine.

I wear this in lieu of a wedding, engagement and eternity ring as I lost a stone from my engagement ring.
DH never had a wedding ring so got the seven ring version when we’d been married 30 years.
